  1. BEFORE INSTALLING TANK: Fill tank with water to insure that tank was not damaged in transit. The tanks are air and water tested before they leave the plant. WARRANTY COVERS PARTS ONLY
  2. DO NOT under any circumstance use the water in this tank as a Potable water supply.
  3. DO NOT expose tank to direct sunlight or artificial ultraviolet light of any kind, (examples: fluorescent, tanning lights, etc.)
  4. DO NOT allow tank to come into direct contact with open flame.
  5. DO NOT expose tank to temperatures greater than 120 degrees F (49 degrees C) or less than 40 degrees F (4 degrees C).
  6. Water in tank MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO FREEZE, use anti-freeze solution to prevent sprinkler piping from freezing.
  7. Tank must sit on a LEVEL, CLEAN, FLAT SURFACE.
  8. SURFACE SHALL BE STRUCTURALLY SOUND to support weight of tank, Pump, and water.
300 gal tank approx. 350 lbs. empty, 3000 lbs. filled
450 gal tank approx. 450 lbs. empty, 4500 lbs. filled
550 gal tank approx. 380 lbs. empty, 5000 lbs. filled
  9. In areas where AQUATIC GROWTH is present a water conditioner MUST BE used & maintained. Contact local water authority for type of conditioner to use.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE MAY AFFECT THE TANKS ABILITY TO HOLD WATER OR WORK PROPERLY.

FROM A RELIABLE WATER SOURCE

  1. TANK FILL LINE
Connect a 3/4" domestic line with a shut off valve to opening in the top of the tank. If AUTO-FILL VALVE is supplied, install a pressure reducing valve in supply line if pressure exceeds 80 psi. CHECK VALVE OPERATION MONTHLY FOR LEAKAGE
  2. WATER BY PASS LINE
Connect a 3/4" domestic line with an indicating valve to the BY-PASS 3/4" backflow preventer.
  3. SPRINKLER SUPPLY PIPE
Connect sprinkler pipe to 11/4" or 11/2" SPRINKLER line.
  4. TANK DRAIN / OVERFLOW
    IMPORTANT !!
WATER DAMAGE CAN OCCUR IF NOT CONNECTED TO DRAIN
(Water may seep back through system into tank)
CONNECT 1" pipe to DRAIN outlet, pipe to a suitable drain.

IT IS OUR RECOMMENDATION THAT A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN MAKE ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS AS REQUIRED BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES.

Customer to furnish and have installed MAIN CIRCUIT BREAKER PROTECTION.

This circuit shall be dedicated for pump/tank only.

CHECK WITH LOCAL ELECTRICAL CODES FOR PROPER SIZE OF BREAKER AND WIRE.
